I'm wondering if it's some sort of scam?

I think so. There are no forms or anything required, the local council are just paying using the direct debit details they already have

I got an email saying I should receive £150 3 days after 6th May into my nominated bank account. Nothing has shown up and I don't remember applying for it?

Got mine from Worthing Adur today

My mum got hers as well, same council.

You don’t need to apply for it, everyone is getting it automatically. If you pay by direct debit it will just appear in your account.

Not sure when BHCC are actually paying it out though.

B&HCC now saying there are delays due to high volume of payments. They said to email again if still no payment early next week

Got mine from B&HCC last week, I’ve put it in a savings account until next winter.
Luckily I’m on a Fix until June so haven’t been told what my new direct debit will be. Somehow I’m £460 in credit!
