just catching up on mail, got an arrears summons -
i bleeding forgot all about this!!

anyone been to one of these before, and know what
happens? can't afford it all at once, would they accept
instalments (extra on top of normal monthly pymt,
should be clear by tax year end...)

Get in touch with your local council tax office a.s.a.p and make arrangements with them for regular payments with arrears added.
In my area the council let you pay weekly fortnightly and monthly.

I hope this helps.

No probs mate, don’t panic.

Like Pablo said, get in touch with them asap.

If you default with them though, they hand your case to the bailiffs & add extra costs.

If you default payment with the bailiffs, they send the boyz around.

Yep - i was due in court for non-payment last Thursday. I called them up the day before and arranged three montly payments - sadly i had to pay £50 on top as well as i had let it go as far as a court date being set.
