Could Sheff Wed actually go down?

Walsall have got a fair chance of getting out of the drop zone. Popular ex-player as new manager and a bit of momentum - that's what you need at this part of the season.

If Mandaric puts Wednesday into administration to clear the club's debts, they will be docked some points. Will it be this season, in which case they could go down, or will they "do a Leeds" and start off next season with minus points in League one?

Possible but won't happen..... they probably did just enough at the start of the season.

I would argue that it is a strong possibility. Of the teams below them, only Notts County are lower in current form over the last 6 games. The three teams below them have games in hand and can go above them if they win them (big 'if'). Walsall would then need to gain 4 pts. Over the last 6 games, Walsall have 9pts and Sheff Wed only 4 so on that basis, they can quite easily catch them.

Mandaric would deserve it bearing in mind the mess he left Portsmouth in. Also, would be interesting to see how much he would lose as he has already bleated on about losing money by not being promoted. It will be even more if they get relegated!!!
