Well they were on the way to beach in a jet then, actually i am wrong again..point taken.
Strangely, I don't remember feeling anything like as disappointed at finishing second back then as I feel today.

Well said, agree with you except that it is the last 3 games that have disappointed me, should not have been down to today's game.

Normal suspects - Whine away
Dunno - it's difficult to remember exactly what I was feeling nearly 40 years ago! I just remember that I wasn't that gutted about finishing second - anyway it was just Division Two back then, not THE Football League Championship trophy!relief though maybe? Despite the let down,i am relived-both promotions have much in common really.

Quite. Double thumbs up.......What a ****ish thread!
Quite right too. Amazing arrogance from some self appointed 'better fans than you'.Am I allowed to be disappointed that we didn't win the league?
I'm not going to whine but I'm just disappointed.
We should cancel the seafront open bus parade. The players won't want to do it, will anyone turn up?
We lost it last Saturday, in more ways than one. Oh well. Plenty of good stuff to look forward to.
Anyone not shattered on missing out on the title and cementing a special moment in our history is an insipid **** that's more in love with the PL than our beloved Brighton and Hove Albion
