They will be safe, disappointingly. And you can set your clock by when it happens mathematically because Dougal will be back on here with some smug prick comment.

Manchester
Luton have momentum and are fighting, they are also scoring goals. They have winable home games.
They've just won their first game in 12. Guess who the last victory was against!

I really want to believe that Luton could do something over the 5 remaining games that aren't away at Man City, but every rational part of my brain says they'll struggle to even match Palace's current total.

Me neither, unfortunately, even though it is just under 1 point per game. I wonder if the memory of them beating us 4-0 is clouding judgement? Since that night they've played 12 and accumulated only 6 points.

Agreed. They had one good run and picked up something like half their points in December and January. Their run ended when they thrashed us. Since then they keep throwing away results in bad ways, including losing at home to the awful Sheffield United, in the last minute at home to Villa having come back from 2-0 down and most recently from 3-0 up away at Bournemouth. They're finding ways to lose even when they shouldn't. I hope I'm wrong but I think they're going down with 28 or 29 points.

Still what a season their dream team had, and what a magnificent European qualification they achieved.

Oh, wait…hang on…that was us, wasn’t it? How silly of me.

In answering the question yes we could, like any season .
But the way you imploded at the end of last season I’d be more concerned about you and your novice manager .

To be honest, you have a point. On the other hand, there was obviously a huge amount going on behind the scenes with RDZ, which clearly impacted the team. Plus horrendous injuries.
Hurzeler is untried in the Prem, but we have some exciting new signings and a pretty decent squad. Plus, the whole team spirit seems to have returned, and the guys seem happy again.
I’m optimistic.

Brighton
They might be losing some players but they do have a very decent manager for once, so while they are spectacularly unlikely to continue their end of season form they will finish 14th comfortably.

Jury is out on the manager for me.

New managers get a grace period in the Prem until there's enough analysis done on them.
Olise and Eze being given the freedom to express themselves, in a run of fixtures which were helpful, proves nothing..
Vieira had a similar period, when the Palace faithful, were lauding his progressive play.

De Zerbi got found out to a certain extent also.

Glasner may prove to be the real deal, but it will be interesting to see how well Palace cope without Olise.

Don’t concern yourself about us, Canesten, you should be more worried about your Mum finding your stash of “specialist” magazines under your bed.

Not this season. It will be the easiest year of all time PL to stay up.
