When you look at that, you think maybe they could. That said you do wonder if they already have enough points already.

West Ham and Fulham are very flaky so I think they could maybe get enough from those two games to stay up and then lose the remainder of those games.

I would predict that Palace won't get more than 6-7 points from that run of fixtures if their current form is anything to go by. Unfortunately, I'm also fairly confident that one out of Luton and Forest won't get more than 30 points, particularly as both have to play Man City in their last 6.

They will crawl their way along to their standard purgatory position of 12th-15th as usual, stinking out the division with their borefest brand of football, decked out in their silly gaudy jester costumes. They have become a complete irrelevance in the PL, and would be missed by absolutely nobody if they went down.

We're probably the only ones who even notice that they exist thanks to the ongoing rivalry, for what its worth these days. They are officially the most dull, uninteresting club in the division, and have massively outstayed their welcome. Everyone else is stifling a yawn when their fixture comes round.

I was looking at this earlier, and I don't think that the results needed for Palace to go down would be shocking in themselves:

Palace - lose v liverpool, united, West Ham, Newcastle, fulham, wolves and villa
Brentford - beat sheffield united move above palace (also face luton, everton, fulham, bournemouth and newcastle)
Everton - Beat sheffield, draw or beat Brentford go above palace (also face chelsea, forest, liverpool, luton, and arsenal)
Forest - beat sheffield united, and burnley move above palace (also facing City, Chelsea, everton and wolves)
Luton - beat brentford and everton go above palace (also to play city, wolves, west ham and fulham)

But, I think Fulham and Wolves are the problem is this scenario. Fulham have nothing to play for, Wolves have injuries to key players, can see Palace getting points in those games to save themselves. I suppose you might also argue that West Ham and Newcastle have had some poor results and even Villa have had some unexpected dropped points recently, so it's not a forgone conclusion they will beat Palace.

So the results needed for Palace to go down aren't unrealistic in and of themselves, but it's probably still unlikely to happen.

Sadly not.

The bottom two are doomed, truly dreadful this year, and the Forest/Everton points deductions have also helped to keep Palace just clear enough.

However I think there are discussions underway at the PL to simply ignore Palace next season, and just leave them out the fixture list altogether.

No-one will really notice their absence; there genuinely is no reason to keep a club that tediously scrapes together just enough dull draws and occasional flukey win to drag its sorry ass to around 14/15th every season, year after year, without ever playing good football, contributing anything or progressing in the slightest. All in a sad shambles of a 'stadium' that the PL is embarrassed to have to feature in its coverage. At least be properly part of the relegation battle and story, or challenge for Europe, or do something. Anything.

Luton have Brentford, Everton, Fulham at home; Man City, Wolves & West Ham - Win the three home games and they reach 34.
Forest have Wolves, Man City, Chelsea at home; Everton, Sheffield United & Burnley away. The latter two could already be down by the time they visit. Winning just those two would put them on 31.

Palace will be alright. They always are, but they still need some points from somewhere. Palace's run in is difficult, but there are a number of flaky teams in there and they'll pick up something from somewhere.
