Yes Im sure that Seb Blatter is an understanding chap. He's probably on the phone now organising it all as I type.

No, as Seb Blatter said himself [paraphrased] 'refereeing mistakes are human error and a part of the game'.

Yes please replay the game. I'm desperate to see England tonked again. This time we might not be so lucky and could end up losing by 5 or 6 goals. Quick quick bring it on, I love humiliation.

In answer to the question, I believe the answer is only if the refereeing decision proved decisive in the game. Therefore no, as Germany won by 3 clear goals.

This came up at the last World Cup with Graham Poll's three card trick. Apparently had the player who should have been sent off scored or got an assist, a rematch could have taken place (from memory).

Not true... the score was 2-1 at the time so it did prove decisive.... if England had later equalised then it would not have been decisive as the balance would have been tipped anyway.... England were forced to change tactics in the second half to continue chasing the game and therefore left themselves open at the back.

As to a reply ...no... it just isn't practical.... for this game we just have to move on but it's now time for players ,managers and referees alike to start turning on FİFA to change the rules. How can you have fairplay when the game isn't fair?

I agree it was decisive too, but my point is that it has to be the actual decisive moment that affects the result (example in case being player recieving two yellows and going on to score). Had the game finished 2-2, and Germany won on penalties, we may have had a case. Again, this was as the appeal rules were reported during the last world cup - they may have changed since.

I also agree a rematch isn't practical - I was only trying to clarify what was reported last time, not give opinion.

Seriously, could you sit through another DISMAL England performance because that's what it'll be... We lost, we're not very good, we need to realise this, we're not a top eight world team and we don't deserve to be seeded for future tournaments.

It's all that Thierry Henry's fault.

Cheats prosper.

I DEMAND a rematch,in which our boys will rise to the occasion and drum in nine without reply before going on to beat every other team as James inspects the insides of his eyelids and Heskey gets a hat trick in all the remaining games,Capello becomes an Honorary Knight and the world cup is given to England never to be played again as we are far FAR too good for any other piddling nation to come close to the Mighty Three LIons.

Perhaps.

One reason we can't have a replay: Ireland.

THey didn't get one, and teh handball was a decisive decision. Why should we?

I'm clutching at straws but Blatter (THE FAT ****) cannot keep his head underground much longer with regards to technology.

Just to be argumentative - Lampards' was a matter of fact, Henry's was opinion (as far as football law goes).
