Unlikely, the waist of space next door to me can barely motivate himself to get out of bed each day, if he does it's for fags and booze the sponger!! Thinks it's funny that he hasn't done a days work in his life.....

Didn't know you lived next door to a tube driver[emoji6]

The guy next door to me is very friendly whenever I encounter him - but generally keeps himself to himself - and is quiet and unassuming. I think he's prone to spending the odd night in hotels in seaside towns. Who do I report him to ?

I bet she'll be over the moon with you, posting a picture of her in her Alan Whickers on a football forum?

Somehow I don't think he took the photo himself. Surely a professional underwear model is going to be comfortable with people seeing her in her underwear?

Shows how much of a f*ckwit that terrorist bloke was. His last night on earth so he comes all the way down to this fair town and rather than choose somewhere such as The Grand (and what a macabre irony that would have been), the Metropole, Drakes or Hotel Du Vin he chooses the very mundane Preston Park Hotel.

Rather curiously it's not the first time we've hosted a wrong 'un. Allegedly, Jack The Ripper stayed at The Cricketers in the Lanes before moving to London and I think the pub has, or certainly used to have, an account of this on the wall upstairs.

I live about 500 yards from the Preston Park Hotel. Its a strange old place. I occasionally used to drink there after Withdean matches. Went to a wedding reception there once and a CII conference group.

To be honest I thought it had been sold. I was very surprised when this related story about the awful events, was sent to my inbox early on Thursday. Surprised but not concerned.

I am not sure if this thread is inappropriately tongue in cheek or unnecessarily sensationalist. Either way, this part of Brighton welcomes everyone without judgement.

Urban Legend. 129 years later nobody knows who Jack the Ripper was.

The more credible story was that Sir William Gull was sent to see out his syphilis ridden days in the now demolished Police Convalescence Home on Hove seafront. Moving to London a few weeks before his death.

Well I hardly think he announced his intentions when he checked in, did he?

"Anything nice planned for tomorrow, sir?"
"Yes - I'm going to drive my hire car to Westminster and murder innocent people."
"Very good sir. Would you like an early morning call or a newspaper?"

Of course it's speculative...that's why I put the word "allegedly" in there. And it's clearly not an urban legend because it can't be proved one way or the other.

I do have communists living next to me, JC supporters through and through. Do they count?

No. I suggest you read up on the definitions that define & seperate Socialism and Communism...

Corbyn is a Socialist not a Communist... No matter what you think you have been told.

He never said Corbyn was a commie, just that his neighbours were. After all, Corbyn's got the backing of the Communist Party of Britain, the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), Left Unity, Class War, The Communist League, the Marxist Student Federation, the International Bolshevik Tendency, The New Communist Party, The Socialist Party, The Spartacist (International Communist) League, The Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), Workers' Power, The Workers Revolutionary Party, Labour Party Marxists and the Socialist Workers Party...

...but not the Communist Party of Great Britain. Bloody splitters.
