I've not really been following along, but one preview I scanned last night suggested the Watch was going to have quite a revamp this time round.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max and Watch Series 4 are still fine devices that do everything I could possibly need, so I'm not sure I'll be rushing to make any new purchases, regardless of what is unveiled today.
Yep, I have the 12 pro, series 6 apple watch and getting the ear pods for christmas so I'm sorted for a bit

Wonder what they're going to announce? My bet is on another overly expensive rectangle.

I think you're being a bit pessimistic.

There will undoubtedly be several overly expensive rectangles.

Not to mention several small squares with straps.

And probably some things that look a bit like electric toothbrush heads that you can stick in your ears.

Still got the iPhone X which does the trick but the battery is starting to really deteriorate quickly which hasn't been an issue until I started going back to the office and using bluetooth headphones during the commute. So been thinking about upgrading but have held off until now to see what the new dawn brings. The previews I've seen have suggested nothing earth shattering so I may go for a 12 especially if the rumours around the price hikes are true.

My watch is only a 2nd series and still going strong. It has the odd wobble where its randomly changed its face but don't feel the need to replace just yet.

I have really struggled since Quicktime for windows went out of support. Here's hoping there is something new and exciting in the pipeline for me.

Actually an announcement about a Cryptocurrency/Blockchain alliance with one of my investment picks, would be very handy. Doesn't have to be anything meaningful, just something to send half the US into a buying frenzy.

Has anyone had a problem with side button on their iwatch4…mine only seems to work to key in the four digit code …thinking it may need a clean as worn for work.

Do you mean the crown, the round button that protrudes, or the button below that, that is set into the watch?

If the former, yes - mine got a bit temperemental when I stacked it on a trail run. It had got a bit clogged up with mud. I left it in a bowl of water for a while which seemed to do the trick at allowing the mud to dissolve into the water.

Samsung have the largest slice of the global smartphone pie. That would make them the sheep, presumably.

Why are Samsung users so keen to watch an Apple presentation?

Being a Sony user, I have no idea about global domination.

The sole reason I can imagine is the (possibly erroneous) observation that iPhone users appear more susceptible to purchasing new versions with little actual substance.

I have a iPhone 8 and it does me fine. I even filmed the family holiday on it and edited it on iMovie and it looks great even on a big smart telly.

I might get the second generation SE next year just to get more storage space and the faster chip but no way I'd spend my own money on anything more expensive that in reality won't do much more than my i8.
