totally disagree

how many "rock" bands would play an amazing set in Mexico, singing "Til Kingdom Come" in Spanish. If thats not enough, they then brought out Jay-Z for the encore!

Sorry, they just aren't my cup of tea, and nor is Jay-Z. I should have added that my voice isn't that of all people or Saint Peter or a headmaster or a musical counsellor.

I feel almost well enough to go to gigs again, so i have got myself a Shins ticket and a Deerhoof one and a Cat Power one. I feel gaily excited.

Coldplay is the kind of band sent here to remind us just how a band should not be. Boring. Soul-less, spineless. Dull.:nono:

Falmer, soon...
I think they've done a couple of really good tracks.

In My Place and Fix You are probably my pick.

As always as soon as a band gets any modicum of success it becomes popular to dislike them - ditto Keane. Sure they're not the most exciting people you're ever likely to meet, but it's pretty honest stuff.

I always find you start off in a good mood listening to Coldplay, but after a couple of sings you want to hurl yourself off beachy head

I think you could very well be right.

Thirded. I think it was fairly blatantly tongue-in-cheek, like many of his comments in interviews.

Chris Martin has always come across as very, very self-deprecating to me. Shame everyone jumps on some second hand comments he has supposedly made (probably taken out of context, almost definitely tongue in cheek) like a pack of wolves.

Still, thats NSC for you.....
