What a pair of sh*t Stirrers and what a pair of idiots over the armband affair...It definately wasnt done through lack of respect leon was being pulled all over the place by it by their defenders.....The players all wanted to win the game for Virgs leon missed a penalty and then another sitter how the hell would you feel....you can bet ya bottum dollar that virgs would not see it as disrespectfull...and to highlight it as you did on southern counties how do you think that made the lad feel if he was listening shame on you both....how bout a public apology from costa and harty....

There is unlikely to be an apology, just a remark about posters on NSC hiding behind silly names.

As I said on the leon thread I thought the phone in smacked of tabloid style sensationlism and mutual we are the greatest fans of this club smugness. The whole thing is a mountain out of a mole hill and I hope that it does not effect leon's form to be so publicly put down without the opportunity to explain his actions. BBC SCR should have interviewed Leon instead of paul reid or adam el Abb if they thought it was such a big deal instead of slating the guy. Very poor!

Yeah, Hart sod off back to Worthing no-one cares how you the two shitty teams you follow (why don't you watch them on a saturday) are getting on, it pisses me off when Hart rambles on about Brighton or Hove, the council the West Pier etc etc you obviously cant afford to live in the twin cities so shut up and butt out it was obvious why Knight took off his blackarmband two defenders at least were wrapping thier hands around it especially at set pieces, were you watching the game man or finding about about Worthing ............band wagon jumper  :lolol:

I cant stand that mug Costa any way, she thinks she is a better fan than anyone and we should grace her presence. Also i think someone should call Harty's missus and tell her he has been playing away and Costa has a lovechild. Any takers?

I think hell will freeze over before Costa apologises. But I do think Harty could say something as his handling of the show was poor and as has been said, smaked of sensationalist journalism. Shame as I am usually a big Ian Hart fan. I hope Virgo was not listening as this will not have helped him get over his loss.

Well said, sir.

For me, the only people showing disrespect to Virgo's father were those attacking Leon - they were using a tragic incident as a weapon with which to pursue their pathetic little agendas. I'm not a Costa fan, regardless of how hard she works for the club, because she has a tendency to come out with these sort of things, and I'm not holding my breath for an apology.

I for one am happy not to hide behind my user name. I have it because this is a message board, not a group of friends sitting in the pub discusing the game.

Leon did not do what he did out of disrespect. Anyone who thinks that his thought process was something like....

"I know I will take off this armband and through it away, just to show some disrespect to Adam's dad."

is a fool. The guy runs his heart out for this club and this team. All the players out there wanted to win the game for Virgs and Leon was no exectption.

I'm not a big Harty fan but have to say that at least he is consistent. He had a go about Rooney doing the same.

I can't see why Leon did what he did. All he needed to do was take it off and carry it or wrap it roubnd his wrist.......no big deal. i think swearing at the supporters just shows his attitude towards the fans. Respect is a 2 way thing and Leon doesn't understand that. He thinks he is bigger than the club. Still one day he will realise and it will be too late.

You are right, respect is a two way thing. So if certain 'fans' start swearing at Leon, is he not entirely within his rights to swear right back, working on the principle that he is giving them the same respect they give him?

Here, for some reason you seem to have slipped in a quick description of Ian Hart and/or Liz Costa. Careful.

In my view, not one thing that Leon Knight has said or done in his time with us - including his behaviour on Saturday - backs this cliched belief of yours up.

Keep talking - Leon will probably leave sooner rather later that way and only after that has happened will he ever be appreciated by some of "us".

I only say he thinks he is bigger than the club because of his attitude. After the Spurs game he was comparing himself to Jermain Defoe and saying that he shoukld be in the England set up. IMHO Leon should look at what division he is in look at hias record in it and try and improve. I don't see any sign of that. I see a player happy to take the cash and not give 100%.. and then not show any respect. The armband thing was unavoidable, anyone can see that. So why didn't Leon try to avoid it. His attitude again.

A teacher gets swore at every day by their pupils do they swear back? People on customer service desks get sworn at they don't swear back. Why hasn't Leon got self control? I can't see why he should be condoned for swearing at supporters. He is paid an expensive salary and can't act professionally. As one of those contributing to his salary i don't think its good enough.

It was avaoidable but Leon chose the easy route. Shame he doesn't think about his actions. Still if he hasn't twigged that keepers do their homework then there no hope for the rest of us.
