Police Raid Three Football Clubs

The three football clubs raided by police as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in the game have been revealed.

Searched: St James' ParkRangers Football Club and Portsmouth FC have both confirmed they were among the clubs targeted by police.

A spokesman for the Glasgow team said: "Rangers FC was asked to co-operate with the police investigation and have done so, extending every co-operation."

Portsmouth's director of communications Gary Double said police arrived at the club at about 10am this morning.

Earlier, it was confirmed that St James' Park, home of Newcastle United, was another of the locations raided.

Search warrants have also been served on two individuals but their identities are not yet known.

Football365 said that the scenes were reminscint of the Italian match-fixing raids so maybe it's pretty serious


Football365 also said all three clubs were in London! They couldn't have been more wrong unless Ross County had been caught slipping Inver Caley a couple of boxes of dodgy haddock.
