According to Football365, London police have raided three football clubs as part of an ongoing investigation into corruption in football. Anyone heard anything about this?

Guardian's got this

Police today raided three football clubs as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in football. The City of London police said the raids were not connected to Lord Stevens's ongoing Quest inquiry into the Premier League and were "totally independent", while refusing to disclose which clubs were involved, or their league status.
It did confirm, however, that search warrants were executed between 7.30am and 9am today. "Search warrants were served at three football clubs and the homes of two individuals in connection with corruption in football and its impact on owners and shareholders," said a spokeswoman
"This investigation is a totally independent inquiry. It has not been influenced or informed by the Quest inquiry in any way. As this is a live investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

What the hell are the POLICE doing getting involved in all this corruption-in-football bollocks ? So theres some dodgy dealings going on in the game, christ HOLD the front page. Big deal. Nothings ever proven anyway, and if it was, it should be down to the footballing authorities to investigate and punish, not the Met. I\'d rather they were rounding up rapists and bombers than chasing around Loftus Road after some wideboy who;s made ten grand on the sly from a bit of skulduggary in the transfer market. Thats RUBBISH that is.

Football365 said that the scenes were reminscint of the Italian match-fixing raids so maybe it's pretty serious
