Piss poor on corners today - 17! If we’d had Ward-Prick we’d have prob won 😬🤦🏻‍♂️

Corners = not all that useful (albeit yes, moreso if you beat the first defender).

Nfl have special teams people..

Watching our free kicks, throw ins and corners today.

Should we think of getting a specials team? And strive to be the best at it?
We’ve already got a specific set-piece coach. The TV coverage showed him during the US tour.

Our corners were laughably shit today. Was surprised we only went short once, lumping it in was utterly pointless.
We just didn't lump it hard enough! Virtually all of them only just made the near post. Don't we have some horrendous stat about scoring from corners which is ironic since in recent times we've had some big players who you might expect to get their head on it?

If there's one thing you can count on at NSC, good times or bad, for twenty years, it's grousing about our set pieces.

Something that's obvious to all of us, yet gone unaddressed by -- counting quickly -- nine different managers?

i would sooner rather give the opposition a goal kick than let us have a corner. seriously. we stand a much better chance of winning the ball back and creating something than we do scoring from a corner

I'm not sure that's right. I've always understood that roughly one in 20 corners convert (not with us). The analysis on my link suggests 4% with less than 2% resulting in goals directly from the corner. Those stats feel more realistic than the Prem ones above (I guess you have to ask what they include in their analysis, and how long after the corner they include a goal).
