I really think I should vote Corbyn, now. FFS, why all the lies? What are the right frightened of? Corbyn, agent of Iran? I am beginning to doubt he ever spoke to the IRA.

Cracking thread this. Brilliant judgement to post it. Top work. Etc. Etc.

I may even unblock Enrest. Hang on....no...ha ha! I am not a ****. :lolol:

It's a good read this thread. The NSC Gammon/Broflake/Brexit voting contingent are much more out in force on it, unlike your Chuka Umunna one. This one is a good 'un and it's because the word 'Corbyn' is in the title. Only the spell binding, magical words 'Diane Abbott' can generate more interest.

Please no, Harry.
Personally, I'd rather vote for the ghost of Screaming Lord Sutch!:lolol:

Don't worry. There is always a Corbyn fan somewhere who will pop up and provide me with an example of why I cannot vote for him. The latest is a claim that Corbyn has provided the best Brexit leadership because he has embraced compromise :thumbsup:

I'm no Corbyn fan but I'm struggling to see what the hoo-has is here. At the moment all we have is American intelligence vs Iranian denials. Where's the credible intelligence?

Corbyn would not be a good PM and the left desperately need to kick him into touch, but this does smack as another anti-Corbyn story and will just shore up his 'backs to the wall' mentality.

The analysis from Bellingcat is very interesting in that it seems to verify that the ship in the surveillance footage shows a tanker which conforms to one of the stricken vessels and a boat that matches the type used by the Iranian special forces. It further shows that they’re retrieving something ,that is shown on other source photos, from the side of the tanker.

To assume that that object is a “limpet mind” requires us to believe that a ship which has had US navy folk crawling all over it rescuing crew had a bleeding great triangular bomb attached to it that the US failed to spot while they were on board and further that Iranian forces would imagine they could sneak up casually with a load of guys to retrieve it without being filmed by US drones, satellites and Christ knows what else.

All we know is that someone stuck something on a tanker then someone took it off.

Btw. Wouldn’t you stick a limpet mine below the waterline? Wouldn’t you just send a mini sub (which Iran has) to deploy it covertly rather than stick it halfway up the hull fir the world to photograph?

As ManOfSussex has said, it is a dog whistle thread for old men with increasingly little to live for, and gammon/broflake types to emote about how socialism is intrinsically evil. The sight of them having a circle jerk is almost enough to drive the rest of us unto the arms of momentum.

Almost.

Still....

Self edit. I’ve now actually read the Bellingcat tweet and realise that the US rescued the crew of the Kokua from a Dutch tug not from the burning tanker.

The Norwegians from the other tanker are being “cared for” in Iran. Lucky them.

This is Iraq WMD all over again. The global economy is on the precipice of melt down so what better than a good old world war to distract everybody and put a load of cash in the pockets of the super rich arms industry owners and Rothschilds etc. This one will get very messy if it progresses. China and Russia will be certain to back Iran, USA and its poodle the UK along with Europe determined to go to war. Trump has been itching at Iran since he came to power. I'm frankly astonished anyone would fall for it.

Welquickwoody seems to have done.

Believe everything you’re told by the right wing press.

Never question. Anything. What they say is always all true.

Sad really, in this enlightened age that we still have people who always do the bidding of the b*stards in charge.

Once again Jeremy Corbyn's calm, composed and Prime Ministerial response to a deepening crisis is attacked by the establishment; his pleas for evidence, certainty and diplomacy are lambasted as unpatriotic or cowardly by the media.

History will prove him right. Again.

I have a feeling if Corbyn did ever become PM ( Heaven forbid ) our security services would have him removed from office once they demonstrated to the cabinet and parliament that he was a danger to Britains security .

Yeah, because rushing in to war with no evidence has never had consequences before has it? It definitely hasn’t increased the likelihood of a terrorist attack in the country. Oh... wait...

Good ol democracy.

The people who are a danger to Britain’s security are Viscount Rothermere, Rupert Murdoch and Richard Desmond. You know, the ones who manage to con the people into voting for Tories.
Oh, and the people of this great country of ours, who lap up everything they are told by these tossers.

What, where he wanted absolute evidence before condemning anyone? Seems like he’s going for a pretty consistent approach to me.
