Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Given his stake was basically £35,000 it's not quite the story some are making it out to be! (though obviously still impressive)

I'm sure if he's betting that sort of amount, he will be sitting in front of a tele, with a computer close by, to lay it off at the earliest possible oppotunity tonight!

No definitely not. A big bet on a Brighton win at the best odds available, would make a lot more sense.

They would be a FOOL not to cover this bet with another £35k(or more) on Brighton to win. You could then just sit back in complete comfort.

What a position to be in.

It's not an individual punter, a company called colossusbets https://www.colossusbets.com/

If you were in his position, and Corals offered to pay him £100,000 now to settle the bet, would you take the £100k cash now or gamble for the £1m tonight?

I'd just lump a load on Brighton to win.

It's Collosus Bets who have the ticket and laid out £34992, bet Corals are searching for a way not to pay out the million
They'd better buy us Messi, a bit sharpish.

I've been playing the Coral football millionaire for a pound since it started and this weekend has been the closest I've come. Predicted eight out of nine on Saturday (needed Blackburn to win at Blackpool but it was a draw). Yesterday I got Celtic, Sunderland, Tottenham and a draw in Charlton v Wigan, with Swansea and a draw between Chelsea v Man City letting me down. I put a draw for Brighton v Watford tonight.

The most I've got before this weekend was 9 out of 15. It's bloody difficult. Corals haven't thought this through with this multiple selection stuff. I hope Collosus group lose their money SO much tonight. :)

bit confused on this, so is that another company basically betting punters money with the bookies to cover their losses? And presumably making money on it?

Edit - wow, they take 30%

What is the Colossus Bets takeout per pool?
A The takeout per pool is 30%, which means that from each £2 stake, £1.40 goes towards the relevant prize funds in a pool and 60p is deducted in operating costs by Colossus Bets.

I hope Corals don't pay Colossusbets out, you greedy b@stards.

You've expoited the system, big time.

I don't see how, coral allow you make more than one prediction per match, if they wanted to stop it they could by making you do nearly 35 thousand single lines so they obviously want to attract syndicates

In comparison Tote jackpot takes out 29% and scoop6 30%

Syndicates of school dinnerladies or warehouse workers doing 50 hours a week? I doubt it somehow.

More like unpleasant, underworld gangsters out to make easy money.

Corals 'Millionaire' is a poor value bet for the small punter. Ladbrokes 'Millionaire' coupon is far better as you can bank your winnings in segments.
