Anyone else watching? I'm looking forward to the EDL getting a good shoeing.

Cop 1208 is coming across like a right power crazy idiot. He loves it.

Should have just let the knuckledraggers of the EDL and the soap dodgers just meet up in a field and let them argue the right of free speech on their own. Would solve a few problems on both sides!

Just goes to show the Old Bill are always as up for it as the two warring factions (who ever they may be).

Done nothing to quash any stereotypes on either side really. EDL just look like a bunch of young chavs who enjoy acting up and the UAF lot just look like the great unwashed who are quite happy to give it but not take it back.

That "bloke" with the piercings!! :lolol:

Indeed. This series has pretty much reinforced all the negative stereotypes anyone might have about the plod.

Just turned on, C4+1. What is the 2 protests thing about in Bolton?

EDL and protesters against them?

Not seen it before this evening. Thought it was watchable. Are the other episodes worth going back to watch?

I've only seen the first one...where they dealt with a comical heroin addict and the one where they were policing a town high st. Both watchable. Send in the Dogs is still my favourite cop show though.

I agree, unfortunately the officers in this series have come across as bigotted meatheads. Scenes of the riot police pumping iron and traffic cops eating KFC have led me to think that only the least intelligent officers are left on the streets to deal with the public.
It would have been nice to see some proper community policing but I suppose this wouldn't make for such dramatic tv.

I have to agree with this. I am not for one minute suggesting that all cops are like the ones in this programme but week by week they do not come across well. It looks like a bit of a stitch up by C4. I mean the programme starts with the pumping iron scenes, they then go through a raft of civilian stereotypes when they're vox-popping and then you see the tall one on the front line bragging to a young girl about how he can do anything he wants and the courts will back him up. Interesting that the programmed ended with the information that the tactics and approach used on that particular day are to be investigated.

The traffic Police one was rubbish (that was episode 2), all the rest were pretty good. Episode 4 - about policing Warrington on a Saturday night was particularly funny.

The first episode showed the role of the traffic police, including dealing with fatalities & having to inform next of kin.

Every organization has twats, people like to focus on the twats & hold up as an example. (BTW, I'm not OB).
