dick knight is the man! quality, gotta love dick knight! not many clubs can say they have a chairman who's a genuine fan of the club!

Im getting pissed off with all this now, coppell is good manager, but in all fairness we have a team easily capable of being in the first division. If coppell goes, fair enough, there will be many managers who would love to take over our club.

 :drink:

The loans for building Falmer are going to be held against future gate receipts so I wouldn't expect a great deal of money going on team strengthening well into our time at Falmer.

I think this says what a good businessman Dick Knight is.

He knows he cannot make SC stay so therefore he is sticking out to get the best possible deal for him in compensation.

He really has Madjeski over a barrell after all the hoohah he made about West Ham and their compensation.

I agree that Dick Knight has been an excellent businessman in this. But its difficult to get Madejski over a barrel, considering that it seems that we got £380,000 for Pardew, and now we're discussing £200,000 worth of compensation as opposed to the originally thought £100,000. For a man with £150m, he's just being very tight (as per usual) and fair play to Dick Knight for knowing that and making sure that in this scenario he isn't overly tight.

If there's a "hands-off" clause in there too, then you're in no trouble whatsoever. That would be good business.

I'm writing all your names down.

When this blows over the 'insiders' will be exposed and shamed.

Coppell is obviously going, if he wanted to stay he would have said so at the start of the week. DK is doing the right thing if he is screwing every penny posible from Reading.

Coppell only has a short contract and obviously wants out, the more cash we can screw Reading for the better particularly as we will lose Coppell soon enough anyway.

Bring on the new man whoever it is and lets get on with winning this league.

No one man is bigger than Brighton and Hove Albion, onwards and upwards without Coppout is fine by me.
