Top man. Can you imagine Rednapp mentioning Bonsai trees in an interview?

Good point. He'd probably think that Bonsai Trees was a Japanese international and try and sign him with the usual no questions asked 10% siphoned off into his back pocket.

Way out west
Sir Alex Ferguson was always very supportive of our efforts, not only to get Falmer but to survive in the first place, bit disappointing (but not wholly surprising) to hear that Chelsea were the only one not to back us. A very old saying is "be good to those you meet on the way up, you may need them on the way back down", I look forward to delivering a swift kick in the nuts to Chelsea when Abramovich pulls out and they look more shagged than a clapped out old whore.

The free state of Kemp Town
In fact, the Seagulls are potentially bigger than Reading according to Steve Coppell.

This is EXACTLY what I've been saying for YEARS and now Reading fans will have to admit it if their MESSIAH of a manager says it's so.

"They will be welcoming Manchester United and Chelsea again this season, while Albion are still playing host to the likes of Hartlepool and Huddersfield at Withdean, but Coppell believes there are parallels between the last two clubs he has managed."

"Without a home, and by that I mean Withdean, then it is like a Bonsai tree. It can only grow so big, because the roots can't flourish."

Funny Coppell should say that, because I happened to watch the last 30 minutes of Karate Kid Part III on one of the Sky channels last night, and I'm sure Mr Miyagi (RIP) says this to Daniel near the end. Apart from the bit about Withdean, of course.

Andy Naylor is a tad disrespectful towards Huddersfield. In terms of potential, I consider them to be on a par with Albion.

Not really, they were the 1st lower league team to get a decent new stadium I believe and have done....well close on nothing...since. I like to think that 10 years down the line we won't be playing in the same division as a club like Albion (are at the moment).
