I went out with a member of Brighton's first team last night, a friend of mine. I'm afraid he told me Coppell IS leaving and the anouncement is likely to be made tomorrow.:(

It was said in confidence i'm afraid. I don't want to mention him as i might jeopardise future info. I only ran into him for the first time in years yesterday and so went for a drink. Going to be seeing him again soon. However, he is a regular in our starting line up.

This concurs with what I heard on Thursday/Friday and why I didn't clap Coppell on Saturday. Goodbye and good riddance.

Have also heard Dowie is a favourite with Knight, although I understand he is considering approaching Keith Curle at Mansfield as well. A strange name to come out, but I have to say this wasn't from as a reliable source as the info on Coppell leaving.

Thats all a bit bitter and twisted!!
If I was offered better money for a job I love to do,I would go as well, and so would 99% of the people on here.

You must be the 1% who wouldnt!

Dont blame SC or DK,blame The Council and Prescott for not giving us the Ground this Club deserves!!

Not bitter and twisted. Just didn't see the point of making a big deal for a manager who after one year with us has decided he wants to leave thats all. No drama!!!

I was told by someone who spoke to Watson that he thought SC would be staying.

The official word on Saturday from club staff was that SC had turned down the offer but not the job. Make of that what you will, but my guess is that it means the offer goes up today and he goes tomorrow.

I predict that DK already has the next man in the frame, and it'll be announced as to who that is almost instantly.

Managers working their way up the professional ladder is all part of the game, and sadly contracts mean nothing much anyway.
Credit to DK for maintaining a list of decent managers, even if MH was a mistake. Let's just hope that form continues ???
