Similar level of replacement. Both managers about the brightest spots for the club as most of the huge turnover of players and certainly those choosing them and where money is spent seem dreadful.
Cooper does strike me a bit like Hughton many years ago, as about the top candidate you’d want if looking to get promoted from the Champ, but not really the man to take you up the table in the PL. 15th-17th (which is still doing a job) and a nice bloke sure. For both these reasons I can see why palarse might want him as they slip down the table and need to bounce back eventually. Luckily they’ll appoint him in the PL, not support him adequately and get some bad injury luck etc. to finally drop, then fire him before he can do what he does best. Fingers crossed.
