Pace: Buckley > LuaLua > Conway
Crossing: Conway > Buckley > LuaLua
Consistency: LuaLua > Conway > Buckley

I'd have him back in a flash. Like Noone he doesn't have electric pace so his skill is his close control, he's not a knock-it-past-you-and-sprint type winger like Kaz or Buckley, he twists and turns and tries to pick out a man with a curled cross. That's rather than Buckley, who tends to gently stand it up into a dangerous area, or Kaz, who smashes it across the 6 yard box with little finesse, but only needing a touch to probably result in a goal.

He would be a perfect foil for Ulloa but I fear he would inherit Barnes' mantle as marmite man - he was truly woeful in his early performances for us, one of our best players towards the end of his spell, and that in itself would divide fans.

NSC is not a person, it does not have an opinion, or even a consensus. This is like calling a pub a hypocrite because people inside don't all think the same thing. ****ing hell indeed.

Examples are not your strong point are they.

Well I hope he does sign for us and fortunately Sky Sports don't seem to know much more than NSC when it comes to rumours, they publish them all, right or wrong.

please don't let this be true

If true yet more proof that this still small club of ours lacks true ambition for promotion to the Premier league. We have let El abd go Bridcut went for peanuts we have not signed and will not sign a striker, the club is taking the piss 10% drop in season ticket sales next season:albion2:

Well, you've certainly convinced me, Mutts Nuts; I mean, one bit-part player not signing for us completely trumps the spending of £139.5 million on a brand new, world-class stadium, extended capacity, and state-of-the-art training facility, doesn't it?

Tony, you MUST ensure we sign Craig Conway :tantrum::tantrum:

What a brilliant post. The only thing I could forge an argument with here is that Conway is probably more consistent than LuaLua. I also think that those three categories you've selected actually flatter Conway as, in my view, he comes top of two, which would suggest that he's better than LuaLua and Buckley, which I'm not convinced about. How about acceleration as one new category, which LuaLua would absolutely walk? Also shooting which, once again, despite a certain wildness, LuaLua would win quite easily. And Buckley might top a finishing category.

On a different note: you need to change your pic; can I suggest that an image of Rohan Ince is befitting of a brightonrock?

Your dead right so I'm going to bin my season ticket next year and no longer attend any more games this season in that biscuit tin of a ground we call home.

COCK !

Good post, however.......

Consistency wise, Conway was shocking at first and it was only the last few games he was any good. I would rank Buckley above him.

I would also add 2-footedness (ability to cut inside) KLL, Buckley, Conway.
Ability to beat a player. KLL, Buckley, Conway

I'm really not bothered about Conway so agree with the marmite thing. One-footed, one paced, but he can cross.

Yes he was consistently shocking at first....however i would argue that the last 2 months of his loan spell he was good...being available to play unlike the other 2 injury prone wingers u mention

Think we're all being a bit unfair on Conway as regards his first few games. He hadn't played for a while. This means he wasn't up to an appropriate level of match fitness, especially when compared with his teammates and, more importantly, his opponents.

Totally agree, especially your last paragraph.

I think I'd probably have liked him if we had signed him.

Yes another category, should be ability to stay fit.....

I think you're being generous regarding the last 2 months. The Leicester game there is no doubt about it he was good, other than that I'm struggling, but understand he did play well away (not at Yeovil though when I went).

Fair enough...... Though you may recall we only looked dangerous when he went off, Buckley swapped wings, hit a post and set Lita up twice as well as missing himself. I accept he put two crosses over for Barnes, but countless times he turned back when he could have attacked, his default is pass back to Ward, especially if it means using his left-foot, and of course falling over his own feet when through.
