But, back to the main point - baseball is a cracking sport and I always spend hours watching baseball on the box when over in the States. Made sure we got up to Yankee Stadium to see a game when over in New York last year too.

every day last week it was over 100 degrees in phili.....so you go from air conditioned buidings that freeze your nuts off outside to an oven...
Still I really enjoyed Phili, despite some of the negative comments about the place...good food, good drink, good company...bloody excellent.....trying to swing a business trip to Denver or Atlanta next year!!

going to Yankee Stadium on Aug 29th to watch the Blue Jays play there....should be great, they are demolishing the stadium at the end of the season (this the 85th there) and moving to a new one next door next spring.

yes the all-star game was held at Yankee Stadium this year, not quite the final goodbye though...there is still the rest of the season to go, and then I'm sure the Yankees would like to go out with a bang by making the playoffs and perhaps playing the World Series there in October
