I think the mystery is unravelling about Frank De Feat's appointment. He thought it WAS Barcelona, duped by the wannabe jersey. How wrong can you be.

Surprisingly he said this yesterday (after losing 1-0 to Norwich) "I am not a fool. I have been around long enough to know that I have got some very good players here."

The players he has brought into Birmingham, couldn't kick doors at Halloween. He has spunked more of someone else's millions up the wall, after saying a few weeks ago, ''if you give me the players I will take Birmingham up''

He must mean from League One next year.

On a more general note, is there any other language that uses understatement so often to emphasise a point? I mean how when we want to describe something as worse than or better than we use words such as 'quite' or 'pretty'.

"There's been an accident. It looks quite bad"..."I enjoyed that match. It was pretty good."
