Cough, choke!

Sorry I think I misheard you?

Sent from my wardrobe whilst watching Susannah Reid and Sian Williams enjoy a clam sandwich.

Brighton have generally been my 2nd team and TBH the dillusional opinions about how big you are is hillarious. Sorry but clubs like Palace and Reading and most others are bigger than you in every respect - crowds, recent league standing, you name it. Yes your crowds have been an amazing achievement but only because your pricing policy has been so attractive, especially with kids going for next to nothing. I know so many people who have ST's that arent actually Albion fans.

Your true size will reveal itself once you cant offer these deals and the gloss has worn from Amex.

We are NOT on a par with Reading.

They are a nothing club who've only EVER been in the top two divisions recently because of the HUGE investment from their wealthy owner. Historically they are insignificant. They have done NOTHING to put them in the history books.

I will NEVER accept we are anything like Reading. Shit club in a shit town

Top posting Colossal. We were up at some London Art Museum (no idea what it was called) last week and they had a John Madjeski 'wing'

Agree on Barnsley, they aren't bigger than the glorious BHA.

Really? And yet Palace have the cheapest tickets in the Championship. Hmmm

As a non-season ticket holder I don't find paying £30 a game all that cheap to be honest, so you must be a wealthy boy I'm guessing.

And where were all Southampton's fans at St Marys today? Even little Brighton would have mustered 26k in a 30k Amex with the start to the season you've had. Are times hard at the Manchester United of the Championship? Maybe you're all too busy patronising all the little clubs you have to abide until you reclaim your rightful place in the Premiership.

Our tickets are far from being cheap. We're actually one of the more expensive teams to come and watch in the Championship, so your argument doesn't really hold up.

I agree we've gained a lot of new fans thanks to our magnificent new stadium, but this is not a phenomenon unique to us. Look at the swell in crowds between Elm Park and the Madejski, Boothferry Park and the KC, Belle Vue and the Keepmoat.

We are unique however, in that we've been in a terribly debilitating position that no other club in the football league has been in for so long, having gone TWELVE YEARS without a proper home. This has negatively affected us in so many ways that it is impossible to judge our size and standing on anything that has happened over the last decade or so.

I agree that our crowds and income for this season don't necessarily tell the full story, but we will have to wait to see whether we can maintain this (and I think we have every chance) before anyone can accurately judge us.

Our Gate reciepts for this year will be higher than Reading & Palace have EVER had

I might update this at the end of the season.

By far the most poignant point - and one that so many opposing fans fail to grasp.

This from the person who said we would average no more than 12,000 this season. 'Nuff said.

Which you would have done had it not been for brilliant marketing so hats off for that. Just don't believe your suddenly a big team, it takes years to enhance your support base, some would say a generation.

Fair point, however, don't forget thanks to the fact that we were sold down the river by our old board we have also missed out on a generation of fans because we did not have the facilities to entice them along. We are now making up for lost time.
