Entering our 6th consecutive season.

What's our longest run in this division ?

How do we stack up with the rest of the sides in this league consecutive years wise.

Would of taken 6 consecutive years had it been offered 2010-11 season when we won the league at Withdean

We've only been in it 5 years since 2011-12 - the Amex years.

Found this on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brighton_&_Hove_Albion_F.C.). Shows a significant chunk of time in 'Tier 2' recently, but more interestingly a general trend back to 'Tier 1'.

Is it Ipswich who have the longest consecutive spell in the championship currently?. Must be nearly 15 years since they were relegated from the premier league.

Amazing how a club as big as ours can have been so shite for so long. Can there be another club with similar support to have spent so long in the lower divisions? Plymouth maybe but they are not as well supported although they have their moments. The Pompey's and Sheffield Utd's may be there now but in their history it has been mostly in the top two divisions. Really shows how dismal the leadership of the club was over so many years.

We are not Man Utd but we should be at Championship level at least, fair enough over the Withdean years but before that...

Biggest underachievers? Sunderland are rivals though. And Newcastle are not bad at underachieving.

But instead of spending however many years in mid-table obscurity, each and every season these past 5 or six years have been spent snapping at the heels of promotion to the PL. Surely our luck has to give at some point!

Well apart from 2014-15!

Probably a good thing you have forgotten that season!

Ipswich are just about to start their 13th season in this division. Next come Derby and Forest who are starting their 9th, then it's Leeds with 7 and us and Birmingham on 6.

Ipswich are the longest serving Championship team, relegated in 2002. Wasn't there an article a few years back called "Ipswich: The most boring football club in the world" - something along those lines anyway

Looking at that table, Bournemouth, in their current position, will easily overtake quite a few of those just above them in the next few seasons.

Come on Albion, you need to get much further up that table.
