Stop right now, Conor Gallagher,
We need somebody with a golden touch.
Hey you, always on the run,
Got to slow it down baby, pass to Lewis Dunk.
Africa - Toto

I hear the drums echoing tonight
Start writing chants with much frustration.
He's coming in, 12:30 flight
The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation

I checked Twitter on the way
Hoping to find Romano was now quoting transfer fees
The rumours are he's here to play
"Hurry Con, we're waiting here for you

[Chorus]
it's gonna take some cash to transfer him from Blues
There's nothing that Todd Boehly's cash could ever do
Now the press say it's Connor Gallagher
Might take some time but he'll add things we never had

Quite a lot of work to only hear the player name once

He’s a player that needs some coaching the ability is there and gets into goal scoring positions. It’s now made the TS main news so who knows.

There's a certain amount of transfer reporting - happens all summer - where a player pops up and then it will say Brighton, Brentford , Newcastle and West Ham are amongst the clubs interested. Of course none of these transfers ever seem to happen.
Have we now got to the stage where if 'Brighton' are in for somebody then its automatically the next wonderkid / great signing?

I'm sure there's a 16 year old Bolivian that's better, currently kicking tin cans in El Alto and moments from an Albion representative approaching with pen in hand.

Perfect NSC player with regard to the spelling of his first name - how many times are we going to see that extra N appear in his first name?!
I don’t think anyone will spell it Connnor.

Bloody good player. I'd be very happy if we signed him.

I am only interested in the mind-crushing process of trying to work out what early 2000s boyband pop song I can shoe horn Joao Pedro into.
How about go for a classic? Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow. Only use Joao Pedro for the chorus lyrics. Just needs someone to do a verse, sort of this:

Oh the clothes he wears are frightful,
But the skills are so delightful,
And now he just scored a goal,
Joao Pedro, Joao Pedro, Joao Pedro

I can't help with 00s boy bands, sorry.

Hmmm...hard working, but in a dog-chasing-a-balloon kind of way. Plenty of enthusiasm but not much quality IMO. He stood out at Palace of course because the rest of their team is utter dreck. I don't see him fitting into an RDZ system, I don't think he has the intelligence.
This is about my standpoint. I'd struggle as have always taken a huge dislike to the guy as a player - and genuinely not because of Palace - I noted his nasty over-aggressive style, and disregard for opponents safety while he was playing for West Brom.

I love the Albion, and I really want to like the players I'm supporting. He'd have quite a lot to do to win me round.
