I'm shocked Forest have missed out seeing that they are a few strikers short and don't need to worry about FFP!

I thought Leeds were skint ? Surprised QPR didn't jump in for him

They won't be short of a bob or two when Al Capone , sorry , Massimo Cellino takes over.

Probably has very little to do with Gus Poyet to be honest. Once he has decided he does not require a player for his first team squad I imagine his bosses take over and try and secure the best possible financial loan deal which the player is happy with.

Considering he had a spell at Sheffield Wednesday and now looks to have joined Leeds it might suggest he is happy temporarily relocating/commuting to Yorkshire. Might not have been so willing to go further afield.

Also, likely to start most games at Elland Road. Would be second choice behind Ulloa here. Might not be happy with that. Equally, the Albion might not be able to justify his wages and any payments to Sunderland just to have him on the bench.

And that is IF we were ever in for him in the first place.

i reckon we are relying on cms and hoskins to come back thats why we have brought in another striker yet i am just guessing

I hope not
neither are up to it yet

The club are evidently in a predicament here. Sure, Wickham would be an excellent signing but the very high wages CMS is on plus the outlay on Hoskins leaves us with two permanently crocked strikers taking up the wage bill. We simply don't have the wages and the club have gambled with bringing in two mediocre, low wage players such as Lita and Obika in the hope they will return from injury... and they haven't. Somehow we are still 4 points or so off 6th so for me Oscar is still working a minor miracle. If he'd of had Gus's squad last year we would have gone up as Champions.

You got to laugh or you'd cry. Clubs around us getting players like Wickham and Graham on loan. We get Big John and Spanish Rodney, I can't decide yet who is the most Shite of out those two. We ain't getting play offs and the way we have acted in our dealings, make one wonder if we really want them, because we certainly haven't signed anyone to improve our chances, have we???

Life's alright, it's Cheltenham in less than two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!.....I've resigned myself to no play offs this season and from what I've witnessed week in week out, quite rightly so. We are no where near consistent enough to warrant a top six spot. That why I was livid on Monday night, that was a real chance to do something great. Not saying we should have won, but to roll over like we did was pathetic and nothing short of a disgrace. It was a cup tie ffs, and we set up like a league game looking for a draw. We should have gone for there throats and if we had lost, then so be it. But to show no fight like that, was shameful. Then the email, ten mins after,,did make me shake my head with dismay...

Hosky did score a goal within 10 minutes though when playing for the DS on Monday afternoon.

Jonathan Obika scored six in one game for the Spurs Res V Charlton about two days before his loan move to Albion last month.

I rest my case !:)

Wickham perhaps, but Graham? My nan has a better recent goalscoring record.

and what has he done for us ?

I'm not convinced by Obika; but to be fair he was probably given more than 15 mins in which to score those 6 goals!

Its impossible to judge Obika until he is given a few consecutive starts.
How the Hell can he begin to fit in if he isn't given a chance.

Indeed. And it's impossible to give him starts, when Ulloa is scoring every time he plays.
