Sorry, I posted something here which turned out to be a load of shit! I've now got rid of it in case someone reads and believes it.

Have to say I actually find the opposite. And they are seriously complimentary about BHA fans, they love you guys.

Trust me if you had to deal with them on a regular basis then you would do!

They harped on for ages about moving back to their Merton but as soon as Ks ground came up they took it and are happily settling in.

I did hear a story about them the other day which didn't sound too good. Apparently they've muscled in on Kingstonians ground, bought it from them and are now trying (or have done already) to kick them out. Before anyone sues me though I'm not 100% on the full facts.

Oh god :nono: :censored: . How untrue are the lies the frannies will try to put about to discredit AFCW. Here are some facts about Kingsmeadow.

Khosla currently owns the K's. AFCW ground share with the K's and they have bought the ground from Khosla, in fact Khosla was looking into evicting the K's and re-devolping the ground. AFCW have now granted the K's a lifetime lease, meaning the K's can never be evicted from Kingsmeadow. They charge the K's a nominal rent each year, which is actually paid by AFCW playing the K's in a pre-season friendly with all proceeds going to pay the rent, so in fact the K's pay nothing for the ground at all, a different situation from when Khosla owned the ground. In the terms of the agreement with the K's there is a clause that allows the K's first refusal on the purchase of the ground should AFCW ever decide to seel up and move. If the K's are unwilling, note not unable but unwilling, to buy the ground AFCW can then begin to look for another purchaser.

I assure you, whoever told you the other story was not telling you the facts. AFCW are a fans owned club and will not be able to change these things without me, amongst others, voting to allow them to. And I ain't going to do that.

Edited for spelling and also to add another fact.

Now that AFCW own the ground I believe that all proceeds from the bar on Kingstonain match days goes to the K's. This was not the case before IIRC, it went to Khosla.

Fair enough. Can't remember who told me now. I think it was some ugly long haired bloke, said he was in the music industry.

RS you live in Reading, support Stockport, post a lot on a Brighton message board and hold shares in Wimbledon! Can't you make your mind up?

AFCW are at Horsham tomorrow night in the Ryman League Cup. Lets hope Horsham avenge that last minute defeat in the League.

Good luck to AFC, though I have a sneaky feeling their progress will slow right up when they get to the Conference.

Look at Aldershot Town, they breezed through the tinpot non leagues in the early years of their relaunch, mainly on the back of (relatively speaking) huge support. But they hit a brick wall for a few years once they got to a level where other clubs have similar gates and the intimidation factor was no longer an issue. Now they're doing alright in the Conference, but are certainly no tips for promotion.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them do well and move up, preferably passing the Child Catcher Winkelman of Milton Keynes on the way, but I just think it'll take a little longer than AFC fans are hoping. Unless MK help them out by plummeting straight through Leagues One and Two of course.

Do AFC have a decent financial backer?

The Shots took years to get out of the Ryman Premier, I think it took them 5 years to get over the final hurdle into the Conference.

They reached the Play-off final last season in their first season in the Conference after knocking out Hereford and only lost on penalties to Shrewsbury. They're currently 3rd in the table at the moment and through to the 2nd round of the FA Cup.

Not bad going really.

I'd say that AFC's money comes from their supporters who managed to raise over a million pounds last year.
