That looks awesome! He used to do his remixing on an Atari ST dont you know

 Didn't know.. but have read the book 'Superstar DJ's' by Dom Phillips' and remember reading that he's a trained musician before a DJ, and matches chords rather than beat's, which is why he's so good at it.

I'd always been told the Pete Tong 'Classic house' gigs at Royal Albert Hall etc were good, but didn't want a 'sit down' gig and be surrounded by people who've only listened to 'Ministry Of Sound classics' - here's hoping it's not too Beard scratchy, and more like the old days in the Escape, when he did Fridays there..

Interesting! It works I guess with his and digweeds "newer" stuff technically but he played acid house before that which wouldnt work so well. I owned their Rennaisance stuff but it was kind of after my time!!! Went through many dance transitions and I thought it was cheesy (which it wasnt it was clever and I under rated I think) we were a bit snobby I guess and it was too commercial and I was more into other stuff/breaks/warehouse/fields, any thing t try and go against the criminal justice bill ha

ELO are AMAZING. That will be ACE !
Saw Jeff Lynne/ELO at the O2 last time they were there, and they WERE indeed ace! Think the unconvinced dragged to the show by friends/other halves were on the whole surprised by the number of hits they played that they knew (wittingly or unwittingly!).

Forgot to include The Pretty Things at the Komedia to the list; I've got a few comedian "gigs" too...but haven't declared those. Maybe a separate live comedy thread is an option?

I am gutted that Ride seem to be avoiding touring downunder. I would love to see them again.

Slowdive also, I hope they tour Australia

So far, Legendary Frontmen of Rock in February at the Worthing Assembly Hall, Brothers Osman in Brighton in May and Slaughter and the Dogs in Lewes in August. Mammothfest in October for sure as well.

Drab Majesty is looking like my first gig of the year. 15th February at GDS.

Fur, All We Are, Belle and Sebastian, Gwenno, Girl Ray and Pinkshinyultrablast are in my list so far, and I'll get to see a few bands at my work.
