I just read the original thread, it’s hugely depressing and one particular post brought a bit of a tear to my eye. I hope he is just having a rest and he comes back soon.

What makes NSC such a great site? It's made up of great individuals from every walk of life with the Albion in common.

When people like these leave, the site is always going to be the poorer for it.

Don't be a stranger, Stat.

I think it was brave of him to describe (on page 3) how he might not be in his best place, feeling a bit pathetic and stuff, and upvoted that post. I hope he didnt see those upvotes as "yes, yes you are pathetic" because I don't think that is what people meant. We're not two posters getting a long, but I think we'd be two people getting along, so I hope all is well - hopefully he's just on a little break or cruising the oceans with Bry Nylon or something.

Hopefully he'll have tons of poppy seeds to shift in the next few weeks and need recipients, recipes, smart arse answers etc, again

I read 'cruising' as 'cursing' and had a wonderful mental image of two people in full Albion kit just yelling at the waves.

I really don't think that's the case at all, in fact I think pretty much the opposite.

Whenever someone on here is in genuine need, there has always been a rallying round of genuine support and empathy. Most people on here are decent folk who want to do right by others.

"Most" does not equal "all" of course, and I think we have successfully weeded out the majority of those who are intent on being unpleasant. It's an ongoing mission though...

I agree. But with the caveat that the stuck up their own arse bullies stick out like sore thumbs and are, when "going off on one" seemingly all over the place. It's an unfortunate fact that one bad apple in the barrel can cause the whole barrel to stink. On a similar vein, just a couple of prolific-posting bullies in an online community can rapidly cause problems well out of proportion to their numbers.

I hope he is back soon. It made me really angry reading that previous thread and I hope the individual who posted such unnecessary bile has been dealt with by the moderators. That was bullying, pure and simple.

As someone who has had his issues with Stat Brother in the past, I concur with the majority and wish him well and hope he's back to normal, posting on here soon enough. I think you'd have to be a heartless twàt not to think like that, wouldn't you?

Mind you, I'm not a fan of the sort of reactionary bullying of swindonseagull either. From what I can see, he simply snapped one day and said what he felt, which taken out of the context of SB's mental health really wasn't that much of a terrible thing thing to do. I've seen a lot worse on here down the years. Much worse. He got banned for it which is harsh enough, and it doesn't really need the rest of the board to round on him retrospectively.

You're all very kind, I'll be back soon enough.

Just one correction though.
I'm not so flakey as to have one comment swoon me to the floor.

The poster in question does that to me every 3 or 4 months and has done for years.
I don't moan, I don't ignore, I just take it as the usual back and forth - although in this case it has been one way traffic for years. I know not why, there's every chance I even 'started it', after all I too can have my moments.

But seeing that comment picked on days after it was made, just really annoyed and saddened me.
(Much like being told random threads (the lifeblood of this place) are pointless)

As said in my response if I can't be a silly arse here - then what's the point, as I can no longer be a silly arse anywhere.

See you soon.

What I've realised recently reading posts on the antidepressants thread is a lot of us are going through hell most of the time

He's actually one of two posters who genuinely make me laugh out loud.

The other being me.

Naturally.

I hadn't seen the thread in question... I've read it now... If it's any comfort, I suspect there are many on here who use this forum to stay in touch with the person, the dreamer, the fool, they used to be... back before the wheel, with chains made of steel...

Yet...

You can still dream, you can still catch the rainbow.

And the thing is you never know who is dealing with what so easiest thing to do is for us all to default to being a bit kinder and giving folks a bit of leeway.

Come on SB hurry up and return. We need your humour and (occasional !!) incisive posts.

NSC is a better place with you.

Yay!

Good to see you back.

There is loads to post about, including a whole Fiat load of Italians, ready to be soundly booed.

Where is Zerbi anyway? I can't find it anywhere on a map. We've got Fernando de Napoli, and we know where Napoli is, but Zerbi? Very suspicious if you ask me.

Think yourself lucky you've been missed. I stopped posting for a month a while back and no one noticed.

Take care though, I'll hopefully see you at some point in the ESL, maybe Spurs if you're going.
