You know when you don't touch your keyboard and the screen switches to a blank screen or your screen saver, how do you set the timer so that it does this after a couple of minutes rather than 5 seconds as seems to be the case with my new laptop? Yes I'm a goon, please help.

go to a blank spot on your desktop and right hand-click.

Click on properties and go to the screensaver tab.

There's where yer problem is.

I am told by PC World that my computer needs to be reset to original factory settings because it is full of junk and slow.

I have the programs I need and have saved all the docs etc. How do I restore it to the original factory settings.

Many Thanks if anybody can help

That is what I am asking how to wipe evrything off of the PC other then Windows XP.

I have tried system restore but cannot set the dates far enough back.

you need a bootable windows cd or use a floppu disk to boot from and format using that then read setup.exe from windows disc to reinstal

there's a lot of people on here who think that is the answer to everything...but I guess in a lot of cases it is the answer!

My brother in law has given me a dvd copier programme that needs me to insert the registration number , which I can obtain , but it says to copy and paste, how do I do this, when I am going to paste it on to the programme which is installed on my PC and I obtain the number off of the CD/DVD. I usually use the copy and paste method via the edit toolbar but I belive that you can do it via the keyboard if so how do I do it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried entering the registration number but it keeps coming up that I have entered it incorrectly and it is best to copy and paste it.
