Ever won anything worthwhile? Or even anything crap in fact?

My list of triumphant moments:

*A commemorative £2 coin, celebrating the marriage of Sarah Ferguson & Prince Andrew, I think it was from the Leader newspaper.

*A Sega console- the original one, with its one built-in game- from a Rice Krispies competition.

*But my favourite by MILES was from a colouring competition in (I think) the Argus when I was about 6.

My reward for colouring in so neatly was...a Fraggle Rock jigsaw, oh yes.

Happy days

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
A Bat signed by the Sussex team (including the late Umer Rashid :( ).
A bottle of bubbly from Sussex CC.
A lunch in the Pavilion.
Tickets vs Northampton Town (Courtesy of the Arsegas).

Nothing else that I can think of! Never really entered raffles or competitions when I was younger...

My Wife

2 things that strike me here Rusco!

a. Why would anyone want a whole set of 9 irons?

b. You won your wife in a competition!!! I hope she was first prize at least.

The irons were great, a whole lot better than the ones I had so I flogged my old set.

Of course she was first prize, although I'd lik to have had the chance of seeing 2nd prize too :p

I was working in Cork for a few Saturdays early last year and around 7.30am there was always a textline question type thing.

I reckon I was the only one up on a Saturday morning as I won it three saturdays in a row and got a westlife cd (given to my sister in law) , alanis morrisette (never listened to) and free tickets to see casanova ( a valentine treat for the mrs although the film was crap).

Not the most exciting prizes but up until that point I had never won anything in a competition.

Meopham, Kent.
I once won 4 complimentary tickets to any Bognor Regis game in a particular season. I only used two of them, but did manage to see a 1-0 win with a certain John Crumplin (pre-Albion) scoring the only goal.

The only other thing I've won, was a Connect 4 competition in Gamleys. The final was in the window of the shop on the Saturday, with a giant set. Marvellous fun. I won a game of Downfall. Bit disappointed with that but I was in the junior section, I think the winner of the big kids tournament got something all flashy and electronic. Hey ho.
