I do hope you're successful - it might force them to close the park/field to the public in order to prevent the risk of injury to any more unsuspecting dog walkers. Best of luck.

Therein lies the problem, everything MUST be someone elses fault, it couldn't possibly be you not having any common sense to look where you are going or tread carefully.

I love the self rightous people who come on this board like they are the rightous police.

The, we have morals brigade and who do you think you are or why dont you look where your going.

I'd love to spend an hour with some of you and you can tell me how to conduct my life without ever doing anything that goes against the grade of the system.

Lucky Ive never cared what people think or when im judged by keyboard monkeys.

To be fair mate, you did ask for it by starting this thread.... but then i think you were :fishing: a bit.

No, I asked if anyone had dealt with injury specialists in regards to a compensation claim, which no doubt people have.

I didnt ask to be abused or judged by certain people with a certain lack of social skills and anger problems.

That just about sums up what some people on this board are all about.

Im with byf on this - it pisses me off big time reading about what the council have spunked my hard earned cash on.

I mean they paid £70 k on a f***ing bike counter on Lewes road, that doesnt even work as it counts cars also. Recently £130 k spent on a chewing gum remover, when i know for a fact there are much cheaper models out there.

If they used this money to fix potholes, damaged pavements instead then they would have no need to be sued.Take them to the cleaners mate

Nail on head -

it was an accident! why sue somebody? whos fault is it really that you hurt yourself?

Yes it was an accident, an accident that wouldnt have happened had the newly made ditch they have prepared not been there.

Yes there is a certain personal responsibilty towards your own safety but theres also a responsibility of whoever is carrying out maintenance work or new construction to create a safe place of work and leave it in a safe manor.

At last!

I think it could well be the council's area too!

The amount of bumpy roads, damaged pavements around....its nothing shy of a disgrace.

No matter how much they fix things there will always be things for people to fall over/in/out of.

Perhaps the councils would be better off buying shitloads of bubblewrap and wrapping everything...and everyone in it? but then they would probably get sued because it chaffes or squueks or something.

Havent thought about who's in charge of the area to be honest Easy.

Well, as I say, if its a public park then it'll be the council. If its a field then (presumably) it'll be the landowner/farmer.

You say the ditch was recently created, but then not signposted. Is it apparent that it was deliberately dug by someone ? Is there a purpose for it ? Is it a work in progress ?

That that you're under any obligation of course, but it'd just be interesting to know a bit more background to the claim you're looking to make.
