That makes me so sad.

Love that you can spell Kuszcak correct but can't spell VICENTE right.

Every player apart from Casper would walk into our starting 11 now.

There indeed is the marker of just how far backwards we have gone. But things are starting to move in the right direction. Just such a shame we lost so many great players and all that momentum.

my sentiments entirely...we had a team that was a whisker away from Prem..another couple of good signings and we could have made it....

We're going dahn! The Gooners are gonna wipe the floor with us and we're going to wiping away the tears on the 24th using our £42 print at home tickets, I might even print mine off on some tissue paper to make things easier.

Surely that represents good business, to a point? Five remain; the rest are either retired or playing at a lower level (not sure about Spanish Dave, though).

There's no doubting we don't have the 'names' from two years ago, but a) there has been an impressive emergence of young talent coming up through the club (severely lacking from that squad) and b) What more does anyone expect with successive seasons with different managers, who have their own ways of playing and players in mind (unless you're Oscar who seemingly didn't give a sh*t)?

Personally, I'm not depressed by it; we had our time challenging for promotion but ultimately, even THAT squad fell short when it came to the crunch. Hopefully the next time we get the chance, we'll be better prepared.

Not to mention the fact that those sold generated a tidy sum of cash.
1 seemingly undervalued although in mitigating contractual circumstances.
1 probably not as overvalued as originally thought.
& 2 fabulous pieces of daylight robbery. :yay:

As we're not going up the best we can hope for is we have enough players that can.
Then as you say hopefully the next time we get the chance, we'll be better prepared.
