Brilliant logic. People breaking the law, just ignore it and carry on.

So, theoretical situation; someone being robbed on the platform. Should you just move along so you're not affected by the robbery? Or what about if someone is being beaten up?

All she did was try to stop people from doing something which was illegal. And that's her problem?

I'm not saying that, but sometimes people are out of their depth. It's not like she was stopping someone from using a chainsaw on someones neck. Im just saying with what is happening on our streets at the moment you would have to be an absolute mentalist to risk your life due to a little smoke in an open area. I still do not condone violence.

However, in reading this thread I was overcome by the thought that the posters on this thread are almost an exact replica of the demographic social mix that you would find in a cheap disaster 'B' movie. Youve got the moral majority jostling for the high ground, some very articulate and right minded people taking a fair middle ground, some complete loonies or possibly mischievous stirers - who knows? All we need is a nun with a guitar and a sick kid and I think we've got a full set.

Its sad but true. You're better off minding your own business with this sort of thing these days. If I saw maybe someone getting some grief and I thought intervening would help I like to think I'd help if I could.

I don't disagree with this, but I think it's really sad. I still don't think people should criticise this woman for trying to stop them; she was entirely in the right. But it's a sad indictment of society that these men then thought, a few days later, that it was okay for them to push her off the track.

Totally agree. It's all about using a bit of common sense for the situation. I'm not sure what response she expected, obviously no one would expect such a harsh reaction as the one she got, but did she really expect two grown men to just do as she said.
