If, as it appeared last night, OG issues instructions to his subs via an i-pad, is it any wonder that our team looked bereft of attacking ideas, and are beginning to look like they don't really care? Obviously there are some big exceptions to the 'don't care' comment.

Oscar's command of English may not be fluent but it is a damn sight better than my Spanish, a bit ponderous in interviews when watching his 'P's n Q's', but good enough to get his message across surely. What is Jones doing if he ain't translating?

Just seemed a bit odd?

odd? or innovative and progressive, using technology to bring the backroom tactical briefing into the dug out?

No different to using a pen and paper really.

Your just trying to find another excuse to hit Oscar with now.....with an iPad. How does using an iPad have ANY relevance to how we play. ?

Maybe Oscar should apologise for not hauling his NOBO flipchart into the technical area?

And when was the last time you saw a manager doing drawings on a piece of paper whilst ushering a sub onto the pitch? Make notes whilst observing play of course, possibly showing these to the sub whilst getting changed on the bench. Just seemed a bit weird to be waving a tablet under the players nose as he entered the field of play.

As for another excuse to hit Oscar with? No you are wrong you licker. I have been finding every reason not to pop at OG over the last few months, settling in period, injuries, lack of options etc etc. But there comes a time when a manager has to take responsibility for HIS choices such as continuing to play with one striker when it clearly is not working, playing a keeper that every Albion fan knows is badly flawed, playing a system that is far too ponderous and slow. I don't want to get rid of OG, I would just like to see some acknowledgement that we are far from good enough right now. If we end up in mid table obscurity, which could very easily happen, then season ticket sales will nosedive severely cutting our ability to attract decent players, is this what you want?

It is probably showing him who he is picking up at set pieces, where he is expected to go for our corners etc or something similar.

Plenty of clubs show substitutes print outs in a ring binder or on a tablet.

In what form - a press release? A confession?

Or his desire to strengthen the squad to his own satisfaction, maybe? Something he very much wants to do.

Paper, a clipboard with magnets, an Ipad... same goal, different format.

It will be to visually demonstrate the substitute's position, set piece roles etc. Not to have a team talk written out in English so he can point to it and say "You play football good now, yes?"

That is one tragic post.
