Comedy night - cheers for coming (if you did!)

Hi all

Just a short note from myself, the other acts (George, Kevin, and Dan), and from all the other albionites who helped out tonight, especially TLO who did tons of work... to say thank you for making the Stand Up for the Albion night as much fun as it was.

Haven't got the final box office figures yet but we were only a handful away from selling out so it'll be good. DK was suitably impressed and I think we can consider this a success. Congrats everyone, you all did your bit

Nice one Comedy Steve! Boy dun good. Wiv knobs on. Almost proud to have bought you a Kaliber...

And quality call identifying the Alpha Males in the front row as a Corporate Banker, a Property Developer, and a group of five Accountants. Says it all about the state of our town really.

Top blokes the main acts - but have to say that IMHO your goals from open play were a damn sight more quality than theirs from set pieces. Apart from producing a bowling bowl from a briefcase that is. How does he DO that?

A massive, massive thanks to everyone involved, it was a top night!! Well done to all those who gave up their time for the Albion free of charge. Just got in, few too many beers for a school night, but thoroughly enjoyed : )

 

[5 Litres]

Superb night out! George Egg the pick of the bunch for me but not a bad word to say about anyone. Great to see Sir Dick there too.

 

[The Large One]

It was marvellous scenes all round. Well done to everyone who worked on this (including the front-of-house staff, and the sound bloke who was quite sound, who also worked for free). All the acts were superb. I liked Dan Evans' sexual preference featuring the pen and a top hat - excellent.

Got a brief word in with Kevin Day after the gig, and he is definitely 100% supportive of our bid for Falmer. He was absolutely flabbergasted that it has taken so long, and believe that we honestly deserve and need our stadium. Plus he mentioned Wrexham's disgraceful plight as well. Top bloke.

It was a top night. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.
