This seems to be the only thing you can hang on to, the fact that when we lose Poyet blah blah blah - and do you know what, it probably will happen next season BUT I am convinced Adkins will be gone before Poyet.

You're quite right in what you say, that Poyet is capable of taking on a club in the big-time. Adkins, on the other hand will never be in that position. He is a Division 2 [old money] manager through and through, and I'm pretty certain Cortese knows that.

As much as I admire our previous manager for what he did two years ago, Adkins is your Russell Slade.

Under Pardew didn't they have some poor results at the start of the season, including a 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth and a pretty poor 1-1 home draw to Leyton Orient? At the end of the day they should be miles clear, the amount of money they have spent of players (Lambert and Fonte both £1 million), and remember Poyet saying Fonte is on what 4 of our centre halves are on in terms of weekly wage. We are on an 87 points with a hatfull of games left and we still don't get credit from them.

Im not sure we were tired. Orient came at us in the 2nd half but had no shots on target in the entire game, and Lallana was waiting should we have needed him.
