Absolutely brilliant support, and zero trouble.

Imagine how amazing it would be following the Albion in Europe.

According to The Sun, "a huge brawl has broken out"... not sure that is strictly true.

Fair enough, I read a couple of articles stating there had been no trouble so I may be wrong.
I think you're essentially right.

I can't wait to go to a European city, let off some flares and throw some bottles whilst bringing traffic to a standstill.

Cologne is only 300 miles from London.

I didn't realise they were out of European competition for so long. Back in the 80s, teams like Cologne (Tony Woodcock) and Fortuna Dusseldorf were amongst the big boys of the Bundesliga.

Oh come on, you know the rules:

Dutch/Germans/Swedes/Scots chanting and signing = Passionate festival of support
English fans chanting and signing = Hooligans

Why are all the newspaper reports talking about FC Köln fans ... but never Bayern München? Some consistency needed there

The problem is, that was actually true a decade or two ago. Obviously it isn't now, but it's not hard to see why we're not trusted.

As for FC Cologne, they're a big club (4th biggest in Germany). I was there for the 2006 World Cup and my (German) cousin's husband supports them, so I have a soft spot for them.
