Just had my second of the day. Firstly this morning, I returned my 7 month old DVD Recorder to Sainsburys in Ashford. Got there at 9am and went straight to Customer Services. Only to find a guy in front with exactly the same model with exactly the same fault. Thinking this was a common problem, I asked the Customer Services guy if they had a lot returned. But over the 8 or 9 months they have sold them, they've only had 10 returned. And they haven't sold them for a while. What are the chances of following that guy in the queue?
Then, 2 minutes ago, I was looking at another thread about worst sayings ever or some such thing. My eyes fell upon the words Alan Smith just as the commentator on the Man U game in the background said Alan Smith. We are not talking a few seconds before or after but exactly as my eyes fell on the words. I had something similar a couple of years ago when I was driving past some obscure town in Hertfordshire I had never heard of and as my eyes fell on the sign, someone from there was on Talksport. Hoddesdon I think it was - not that common to get a caller fropm Hoddesdon.
Why do these things always come in groups? I know the law of probablility says that it would be strange if there were no coincidences but 2 in a very short time makes you wonder.
