Agree with you. He hasn't got the instinct to be in those positions.

Disagree. CMS will never destroy this league - he's simply not good enough. He's not a terrible player by any means but IMO isn't a complete footballer, in that his weaknesses are absolutely glaring.
Did CMS touch the ball with his feet at all this afternoon?
I genuinely cannot remember him touching the ball at all !
People don't purr at CMS because he misses too many sitters and because he runs around ineffectively. And football is not basketball - it doesn't matter from where or how you score, they all score one point. I don't reckon Ulloa will score many scissor kicks like CMS did at Burnley, or even quality finishes running onto it on the edge of the box like the equaliser CMS scored at Wolves. But he will hold the ball up, show strength on the ball and tuck away a very high percentage of chances you might hope of a good old fashioned centre forward, and that is what this side needs. We've bossed too many games and thrown points away because of the absence of this fella until now.Give CMS the close support and he will be a terror. I wasn't convinced but then saw the Buckley/CMS/Hoskins/Orlandi combo working in close unison at Huddersfield, when allowed to press higher upfield and work within 20 yards of each other they caused panic and looked like they would run riot, only a lack of timing for the final ball and some odd lino decsions stopped them. Before that CMS had been doing his usual 110% tearing around chasing lost causes. Plus CMS got a goal earlier in that game that most strikers would miss (courtesy of a nice flick from Barnes). If Van Persie had got that most would be purring but instead CMS gets slagged off.

Hasn't he ripped up the Spanish second division for a season and a half? You only have to look at his highlights reels to see what to expect. Nothing extraordinary, just lots of solid tucking away of presentable but missable chances.Agree with all of that except for the bit about Ulloa, who looks very promising but still has to deliver the (hypothetical) things you describe on a consistent basis. OK at this stage he looks a damn sight better than Barn Door Billy or Sam Vokes but I'll reserve my objective judgement until he has played 20 games. Anyway back to my original point: let CMS play with Ulloa and vice versa, who knows that partnership could be something special.
