I personally do not think it has/will work out for CMS here and think he will be sold in the summer. The only person that should be criticised for this is Gus Poyet. To target a player like he did with CMS, spend that amount of money on him, sell the club to him, sell the style of play to him and then leave him isolated up front, playing with his back to goal and getting half a chance a game at best in the 18 yard box is baffling. CMS has run himself into the ground and is attitude cannot be questioned but as the season has gone on he has become more and more rusty due to a lack of service and clear cut chances.

spot on ! Barry Fry agrees with you and is just as baffled !

Last time we (saints) were in the league, we had Rasiak. He did f*** all but popped up with 20+ goals a season. He is a forward, he's paid to score goals, not run around a lot. Same with CMS other than the fact he doesn't score goals. That has been your biggest failing this season, we're 'x' points ahead of you because we score. Not only Lambert (26) but we've got Guly and Lallana in double figures and Chaplow, Hooiveld, Connolly chipping in with 5/6 each and since Feb sharp has scored 5. As a striker you get paid to score goals, don't score the goals you're not performing well.

 Really? Must have missed the good bits. All I witnessed was a league 1 player labouring about the pitch successfully managing to not support defence or attack!

:lolol: We have very different eyes.

Earlier in the season I thought Dicker added nothing to us, and he was just getting in the way of Bridcutt. Tonight I thought he moved the ball really well and drove us forward, first half more than second. I think he tired quite badly from about 70 minutes, but we had no option to change him. First half I thought he was very good. I sit in the middle of the east, he was doing a lot of work directly in front of me. I thought he was very good overall, really pleased to see him back.

I really hope Reading win the league.

Come on really, Dicker has been hopeless from the start of the season. Him being out for the last few months has done us all a favour, I can only presume he has some Sex tapes of Poyet or something to get 2 games of 90 minutes of football resulting in 2 losses. He can string a few short passes together but cannot head, tackle or take free kicks. When Bridcut is back he's got to be out but somehow Poyet best chum will still be there for sure.

Strange I thought Dicker was poor tonight. Far too many misplaced passes which is a trend with him.

Dicker had a shocker. Obviously he is coming back to fitness, BUT he wasn't good enough earlier on in the season and nothing has changed.

CMS was also very poor.

its simple, we dont play to his strenghts, until we do he wont get the goals he is capable of. because he is not scoring he looks low and short of confidence, he works hard all the time and I am sure there is a hat trick in him before the season is out. I would like him to stay.

There was a point tonight where he was running towards the by-line with the ball but the defender very easily muscled him off the ball and he just threw his arms up and gave up.

That was the point i gave up on him. His first touch is awful. And there is only so much running around you can accept without scoring goals.

A good first post there. We missed Bridcutt badly. Dicker is not up to this level imo. A lovely bloke I am sure but so many misplaced passes that put's us under immediate threat at this level.

Darren Ferguson you must have been having a laugh in the Executive Lounge at The Amex tonight. Or was it a case of seeking CMS on a loan basis for next season?

I have watched CMS at home every game this season & quite a few away games too. I have not criticised the player until now! Sorry Craig, you were the weakest link tonight. The boys played a blinder yet you did nothing. I am fed up of you running around like a headless chicken. You cannot hold the ball & when you do get near to the goal, hardly threaten the goalie. What? 12 goals this season, in a team that is 7th!!! You are not up to Championship football. You were not up to Championship football with Peterborough yet everyone at the Albion thought that this was because you were in a 'weaker' side.

Tonight was probably our best home performance of the season. All our players had a blinder, except our centre forward. Even Gus seems to have recognised that you are not up to it, having subbed you.

I maybe ranting, however, I have bit my lip until now. Ferguson you can have him on loan, better still make us an offer, even if it is one lower than what we paid. The rest of the team deserve better.

I presume I will get slaughtered by those who 'love' CMS, however, as far as I am concerned, the love affair has gone. Time for player & club to move their separate ways.

Starting a critical thread about a player who gives everything makes you a prize c**t.

I may or may not agree that he is out of his depth, but yoir spouting should not be on a public forum as it cannot help either the player or the club.

It is fair to say Craig was dreadful tonight and looked out of sorts and out of his depth. A sad day as I never thought I would say that. I think Craig needs a new club next season as it has not worked out for him here but I wish him all the best.

I thought Dicker had a decent game. Constantly looked forwards and plays clever little passes not seen by most in my opinion.
Gets caught on the ball occasionally but they way we play that will happen occasionally.

Id pick him over Nav everytime, when Bridcutt is back.

Posters should be able to say exactly what they think on here. That's what the forum is for.

If we persist with 1 up front it has to be CMS, Vokes just plays one way, and cannot stretch a defence, he is so easy to mark.

I thought CMS had a decent game tonight.

When we get a decent striker to go with him you will be see a different player, and we WILL get one to go with him over the summer.

Keep the faith, a lot of idiots posting tonight again....
