Craig Mackail-Smith steps up his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury tonight when he lines up for Albion’s under-21s against Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls host rivals Palace at Culver Road in a 7pm kick-off, with the striker making his second appearance for Simon Ireland’s side after playing 25 minutes against Brentford last week – his first match action since last March.
Ireland looks set to name a similar side to the one that lost 2-1 at the Bees last Monday although Christian Walton could replace Grant Smith between the posts.
Albion and Palace have already met in the league this season when the two sides played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.
Entry is free to season-ticket holders or £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
The game will also be streamed live on the club’s official YouTube channel.
