After he scored on Saturday, it was like we'd just signed a new player. I don't think I've ever seen such a rush of confidence from a player in all the time I've watched the Albion. Unrecognisable from the previous few weeks and had a great game with touches and runs coming off again.

Hope he carries it onto the pitch for Scotland. Having an Albion striker makes me want the sweaties to do well, not often I've thought that,

I see Big Gord is nowhere near the sweaties squad again. Good for us, a traversty for Gordon, jeez they must have some good central defenders in Scotland if he isn't getting a look in.

How doesn't Greer get into the Scotland squad?

As a Scotland fan myself, I have no idea why but he hasn't even been quoted by the media up here. I'm not sure if there is any history between him and Levein (I doubt it to be honest) but he should definitely be in the set-up when you see the likes of Caldwell and Berra ahead of him.

Scotland defenders...

Christophe Berra (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Gary Caldwell (Wigan Athletic) Charlie Mulgrew (Celtic) Grant Hanley (Blackburn Rovers) Russell Martin (Norwich City) Richard Foster (Bristol City)

Pick the bones out of that...

Martin is primarily a right back too, an odd one, maybe just because of his age.

Greer fits in with Scotlands new style too of passing the ball.

Suddenly, I am more interested in the Scotchland game than the England one. :badfan:

Oh, and Greer is better than Berra. Hell, any Wolves fan will tell you that they would rather have tiny Kevin Doyle at Centre Back that Berra.

No live coverage on terrestrial TV (BBC Scotland) or subscription TV (Sky) , its only available as PPV on Primetime which probably means less than 10,000 viewers will watch the game.

Greer is more than good enough, maybe a couple of silly reds count against him, plus although they are shit Premier League players, Caldwell and Berra do play at that level regularly.

Hope CMS does well, and doesn't get injured.

Come on Macca, the only reason why I'd ever be remotely interested in Scottish football.

Good luck to him. Fingers crossed he scores and doesn't get crocked.

Gus has to take huge credit for CMS getting back into form by getting Vokes in and leaving CMS on the bench for a bit. From CMS's own comments this seems to have revitalised him.

Whether you blame Gus for not playing to CMS's strengths in the first place which may have been the cause for him to lose his confidence in the first place, is up to you!

I think CMS will be playing for Scotland in Slovenia and I beleive on the same night Norway U21s are also playing in Slovenia (Agdestein in the squad). So we could have 2 players playing international football in the same country but for 2 different teams and neither of them for Slovenia where the matches are being played!
