CMS is a FAR superior player, with a fantastic attitude that always gives 100%. Nicky Maynard is a big LUMP who sulks about the pitch not being ASSED in at least half the games he plays.

If you want to talk goals then over his career CMS has a goal every 2.3 games where as Maynard has one every 2.4 games.

Just because CMS is having a barren spell doesn't mean he's not a good striker.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

CMS by miles. His work rate is amazing. He gives 100% every match and his footballing motivation is unquestionable. He's here to play football and to be a part of the Brighton and Hove Albion team that'll grace the Premiership in a couple of years time.
We all know he's not scoring at the moment, but now Vokes is on board, they'll develop a solid understanding - bounce off each other and the goals will flow once more.

maynard is a proven goalscorer at championship level - cms is not. yet

a £1.9m gain and a player who scores regularly at this level seems like a good piece of business to me, no matter how much cms may run around
