I wish him well but is it bad form to be extremely pleased about this? It means we can start to close the chapter on Brighton's most expensive failure and move on as a club without all this 'not playing to his strengths' speculation.

Agree, never really looked like a £2.5m player for us, add in a few injuries which haven't helped. Let's just hope we recoup some of that investment and I hope for his sake he rediscovers his scoring knack. Lovely bloke but not good enough to fire us to the promised land

Can't see him returning in January , I wonder if the (undisclosed) fee for him has already been agreed ?

Loved the sound of his song and i'll miss that maybe more than him. I do feel for him. For all his constant endeavour he never seemed to have the striking instincts to position himself where a real goalscorer would, and obviously lacked the touch, one that unfortunately couldn't be taught him, that our style demanded. In honour of him, against Fulham this weekend i plan to pant excitedly in 30 second bursts, before breathlessly moping or trying to eat a pie with my ears.
Best of luck to him.

Buzzer nails it. He was gash and won't be missed on the pitch. I do hope he scores tons for Posh so that it maximises what we can get for him in January.

He's had his moments. That second goal against Burnley back in Sept 2012 still remains the best finish I've ever seen by a Brighton player (the first goal he scored that day was tidy as as well). It was a travesty that that goal wasn't voted Goal of the Season; although it may have been because only about 350 Brighton fans were there to see it live.

In the time he's been here he had that 4 (?) month spell from about September-December/January 2012/2013 where he was genuinely looking like he was going to prove his worth, then he got injured. In that spell he contributed a good return of goals and was looking like he could play in the system Gus wanted. Unfortunately he's never got back to that level. If anything he's gone backwards from how he was when we first signed him. Real shame for all concerned.

Love CMS but I think you've got it right. Hope he smashes in the goals so we can recoup some of our outlay.
Mind you, my missus is gonna be gutted - she drooled over him - especially before he got his hair cut.

Hoping he rediscovers his scoring touch there and comes back to us a bit sharper but it looks like the end of him here sadly. Shame, would much rather see the back of O'Grady.

Exactly my feeling. Impossible to dislike the bloke but clearly the best for all parties to just move on.

Dont understand it at all. Better than Boldock and Grady put together yet never gets a chance, should be shipping Grady out instead. Crazy management all round.

It's easy. CMS is on big money and his contract expires this coming Summer.
