Trevor Francis - Nottingham Forest & £1 million big ones.

I was thinking of his classic Beard years. By the time he was at Everton he'd ditched the beard and had a brief dalliance with the footballer's perm albeit a very soft and subtle one, not the full Keegan. I preferred the bearded look myself which is probably why his Birmingham years stick in my memory.
Incidentally when he transferred from Birmingham to Everton in 1974 the £350,000 transfer fee was a British transfer fee record which was substantially eclipsed five years later by that other Birmingham boy Trevor Francis as you mentioned who set another transfer fee record.
