I’d take us getting back into Europe over England winning the Euros TBH and I’m an England fan.
And their close neighbours. Many of them are second or third generation Irish.Of course the 'we're not english' brigade are top...
Correct - Liverpool would be 100% club for a start. As am I.No way are those published figures correct.
Club all day long.
I would rather Albion win the league cup than England win the euros
The way I look at it is I have an Albion season ticket and have watched us hundreds of times over many years. This is fair.
I would say England winning the Euros would bring me EXACTLY the same amount of joy as Brighton winning the League Cup.
Would be a great moment, would remember it for life.
But I'd rather BHA won a major trophy than England.
In fact, I think I can quantify my joy in different scenarios out of 100.
Brighton winning the Premier League - 100 Joy
Brighton winning the FA Cup -90 Joy
England winning the World Cup - 80 Joy
Brighton winning the League Cup - 70 Joy
England winning the Euros - 70 Joy
Brighton qualifying for Europe again - 60 Joy
Sample size 2023 adults. Sound data, that, as this poll shows
Now firmly middle aged I feel the same about major tournaments. Having young kids probably adds to the feeling, but I couldn't imagine not going to the pub for England games not so long ago. Now I'll probably be sat on the sofa with a cold beer for most of the games and quickly get on with my life when the inevitable happens and will bollox it up.Correct - Liverpool would be 100% club for a start. As am I.
As a child I would have probably said country though. Major tournaments were everything to me back then, not anymore.
That took me 400 milliseconds to answer. The time it takes to click 'Brighton'. I didn't even bother reading the rest of it.Were England to win, the whole nation would be happy: people would smile at each other in the street, and there would be a sunny atmosphere for weeks. Even people who don't like football would join in the party.
Brighton winning the league would just allow our small community to lord it over other parts of the country.
It's absolutely no contest: Brighton obviously. Sod everyone else.
Don't overthink it.Brighton have never won anything of note, we bottled the Championship a few years back, we'll never win the PL.
I couldn't give a f*** about England. . . . I got excited a few times a long time ago, but it means nothing any more. Ingurland Will never win the world cup Again. I suppose it's possible to spawn a var/penaty Michael Rodent trophy at some point.
This.Shame I can't see the 7 people (to date) who post on here and don't support the Albion.
I’d take one season of that over England winning the Euros and the World CupI’d take us getting back into Europe over England winning the Euros TBH and I’m an England fan.
