I have reread what Giraffe has put several times. Comes across as a sensible chap with no whining spotted at all, merely statements of fact.

So why the need for the bile?

I've met Matt and he's been around my house. Just saying what I think.

Shove your violin up your arse please. My dad has cancer and dementia and finds it hard to walk. We get a disabled pass (£7.50) for Sussex University and park in car park 5 and get a shuttle bus to the ground.

Please, think about other fans who are not as rich as you or in a worse predicament. You sound like a spotlit brat who can't get his own way.

But you were 'banned' from the Amex, for having your say when they wanted to search your bag, and bought season tickets for you and your Dad at Selhurst, instead. Have you forgotten that?

Seen that parking when I pass on my bike. Glad the Farm Shop owner is cashing in. Makes sense. We could all do with some extra revenue.

He's a top bloke and doesn't take the pee, not too many cars either.

Wonder if Bennett knew the Uni have extended one of the car parks last year & there were many hundreds of spaces for extra Annual tickets to be sold?

Conversely, if now the huge Amex is next door he may have the nod that he can build on it himself vastly increasing its value as a plot

Brighton factually.....
Its another game of poker by Bloom, Bennett seems to have thrown his cards on the table, Bloom has called his bluff and walked away and gone public.

Now Bennett will way up his options and go back to the club with sensible request and Bloom will no doubt ummm and arrgh and then settle for slightly less than Bennett asks for.

This post does not reflect well on you. Are you actually engaging in one-upsmanship over whose dad is in a worse predicament?

Not harsh at all. Just saying how it is. People who are 1901 think their shit don't smell and think they should be treated better than the rest.

I imagine that they do expect to be 'treated better than the rest' in so far as they expect to recieve the things that they have paid (extra) for - priority parking, nice lounge, quick access to a bar / toilets, etc. Apart from that, I'd imagine they are there to watch the footaball, like the rest of us.

4 times.

If I'd meant 5 times I'd have said "400% more".
I think you said 5 times, because you said he "was asking for a massive increase in annual rent as part of the lease renewal, in the order of around 400% of the value being paid under the existing lease", which would mean the increase was 4 times as much, so the total is 5 times as much

I renewed mine at the same time as season tickets... it appears in the online ticket system as
Season Car Park 2014/2015Titanic, MrParking SpaceParking @ the AmexSussex Uni Car Park

Hang on, why did you renew your S/T, we don't have to do we? (he says in a panic stricken tone)

Endless stream of attacks on the driver are getting a bit tiresome. Coldean, Moulscoomb, Bennetts field now,.... jesus, it wont be long before Lewes bans all street parking for match days too....

Will be fun for the Sheffield Wednesday game, no Bennetts Field, Peppa Pig over the road, I'm now off to the bookies to put a tenner on a late kick off due to crowd issues.

I paid for uni parking not long after the end if the season. Funnily enough I checked yesterday with the club when my pass would be sent out and was told at the end of the month so if you've paid then should be ok. But, given the poor stewarding at the uni I forecast a right old shambles when the season starts.

Even if Bennett and the Club come to an agreement I can't see them getting planning permission for continued use of the 'Field' for car parking by the start of the season.
